Formula
Deadlock to CS2 formula
CS2 sens = Deadlock sens × 2Deadlock turns 0.044° per mouse count at sensitivity 1; Counter-Strike 2 turns 0.022°. The ratio of the two, 0.044 ÷ 0.022, is the multiplier. It holds at any DPI as long as you use the same DPI in both games.

Converting from
Sensitivity in Deadlock
Deadlock is Valve’s Source 2 hero shooter with an over-the-shoulder camera. Its 0.044° yaw is exactly double CS2’s, so the quick manual conversion is to halve your CS2 value. The competitive scene is still young, so its common range mostly reflects CS2 players who moved over.
- Where to set it
- Settings → Mouse → Sensitivity
- Common range
- 0.5–1 at 800 DPI (26–52 cm/360°)
Converting to
Sensitivity in Counter-Strike 2
Also applies to CS:GO
Counter-Strike 2 keeps the classic Source yaw of 0.022° per count (the m_yaw value), which is why its numbers carry over to Apex and TF2 unchanged. Raw input is always on, the field of view is fixed, and scoped speed is set separately with zoom_sensitivity_ratio.
- Where to set it
- Settings → Keyboard / Mouse → Mouse Sensitivity, or
sensitivityin the console - Common range
- 0.8–1.5 at 800 DPI (35–65 cm/360°)

Where Deadlock players land in CS2
Competitive Deadlock players mostly use 0.5–1 at 800 DPI, which converts to CS2 1–2. CS2 players typically sit at 0.8–1.5, so a typical Deadlock sens lands inside the usual CS2 range once converted.
FAQ
Deadlock to CS2 sens questions
How do I convert Deadlock sens to CS2?
To keep the same feel, multiply your Deadlock sens by 2. At the same DPI, Deadlock 0.75 equals CS2 1.5. If you play CS2 at a different DPI, enter both DPIs in the converter above and it compensates.
What is Deadlock 0.75 in CS2?
Deadlock 0.75 at 800 DPI is CS2 1.5 at 800 DPI (exactly 1.5). Both need 34.6 cm of mouse movement for a full 360° turn.
Is Deadlock sensitivity the same as CS2?
No. Deadlock turns 0.044° per mouse count at sensitivity 1 and CS2 turns 0.022°, so the same number in CS2 is 2× slower. That is why you need to convert.
Where do I change sensitivity in Counter-Strike 2?
Settings → Keyboard / Mouse → Mouse Sensitivity, or sensitivity in the console.
Why does CS2 feel different at the converted sens?
The converted value matches your 360° distance exactly, but Deadlock and CS2 use different fields of view and camera setups, so targets can appear to move at a different speed on screen. Make sure mouse acceleration is off in both games and in Windows, then give it a few sessions before tweaking.
